Are you a person that is both creative and caring? If so,The Arc Tampa Bays' Harborside Studios may be the place for you! Harborside is a satellite program of The Arc Tampa Bay. which serves adults with developmental disabilities. The students of Harborside are taught every medium of art to express themselves. There is a gallery in which their artwork is proudly displayed. The studio/gallery is located in beautiful downtown Safety Harbor. We are seeking a candidate that is well versed in a variety of art mediums, has an educational background in art and or/social services, and preferably has at least one year experience related to working with persons with developmental disabilities.
*Please note, days of work are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Also, assisting during every Safety Harbor "Third Friday" street festival.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma with the emphasis in Arts. Associates degree preferred in the Arts field. One year experience with developmentally disabled persons is preferred/REQUIRED if no college degree. Must possess a valid Florida driver license; Ability to work cooperatively with persons of varying backgrounds, interest, needs, and personalities. Must exhibit positive, cheerful, nurturing, and empathetic attitude. Employee will be required to successfully complete and update Medication Training, Transportation Training, Safety Care Training, First Aid Training, CPR Training (to include physical demonstration of the skill), HIV / Infection Control Training, Zero Tolerance Training, Core Competency Training and any additional trainings relevant to area of responsibility as assigned by the Program Director may also be required. All must be completed in 90 days; some in first 30 days.
Pre employment drug screen as well as local and federal background checks.; DMV check. Skilled in multiple mediums of art.
